Datalink is seeking a skilled Solutions Consultant to be based in our Chicago, IL office. The Solutions Consultant will provide business application and process consulting services to our clients to enable the appropriate alignment of technologies and processes to address their business day-to-day and disaster recovery information needs. 

This position requires a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or closely-related field, and a minimum of five (5) years experience in the job offered or in a similar position as a solutions engineer/architect.  The five years experience must include analysis, design and implementation of the following data center technologies:

• File Virtualization in a NAS and SAN storage environment  Brocade Storage, Brocade File Management Engine (FME), Netapp Virtual File Manager (VFM), F5 ARX
• Storage: Netapp, HDS H-NAS/Bluearc, EMC Celerra, HP Polyserve
• Management Tools: Akorri BalancePoint and RiverBed Cascade
• Servers: HP, Dell, IBM, Sun
• Networking: Cisco, Brocade, HP Procurve
• Operating Systems: Windows NT/2000/2003/2008/XP/Vista, Solaris 8/9/10, VMware 3.x/vSphere, Redhat & Suse Linux, HP-UX and IBM-AIX

The five years experience must also include implementation and testing of the above listed technologies and products in a large datacenter environment; work with IT infrastructure and business processes and familiarity in ITIL processes in Service Delivery and Service Support frameworks; Business Analyst skills analyzing and developing processes, process flows and detailed work instructions; and experience providing complex technical business deliverables to meet customers defined business requirements. The preferred candidate will have strong communication skills to lead client consulting engagements.
