Datalink is seeking an experience Account Executive in the Charlotte, NC area. The AE position represents the primary customer facing sales function that drives revenue and manages the customer relationship.  The AE communicates and sells Datalink value, under limited direction, utilizing highly complex and sophisticated products, services, applications, software, and systems to achieve goals and objectives. 

Responsibilities include the expansion and maintenance of new and existing customer accounts, development and implementation of sales strategies, calling on customers, presenting new concepts, solutions and products, and ensuring adequate sales and engineering support and service.

Qualified candidates will possess: 5-10 years proven sales experience in the high-tech industry required, preferably in the data storage industry.   Must have experience in consultative, solution selling approach, and proven experience managing a complex sales cycle and selling to multiple levels within mid-sized and large organizations. Must excel at relationship management and extensive follow-up with prospects and customers. Must also possess a demonstrated sales track record in a competitive environment. Ability to qualify opportunities, obtain customer commitments, negotiate and close contracts. Must have strong market knowledge of local and surrounding area. 

Ideal candidate will have established customer and Datalink key partner relationships.  Additionally, this individual will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be adept at Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), and hold a BS Degree in a business or technology discipline.

Each Account Executive receives a laptop computer, blackberry, current software tools, and Internet access.
